Summary

Ella is feeling painfully alone. Her best friend has gone off with someone else. Her stepdad is tired and grumpy. The new baby screams his head off. And worst of all, her mum is in a coma in hospital, unable to touch or talk to anyone. A new school project seems a real bore, but the more Ella discovers about whales, the more she becomes enchanted with them.
