Autobiography. Knatchbull, Timothy, 1964- -- Family. Victims of terrorism -- Ireland -- Sligo (County) -- Biography. Bombings -- Ireland -- Sligo (County) Bereavement.
August bank holiday weekend, 1979. 14-year-old Timothy Knatchbull was on a boat trip with his family and friends. The IRA bomb that exploded in their boat killed Knatchbull's grandfather, Lord Mountbatten, and other members of the group. This book provides a compelling insight into a dark period of Irish history. But more importantly it reminds us that although tragedy can strike at any moment, the human spirit can recover.
