Summary

Eighteen-year-old Ruth Thomas, born on Fort Niles, arrives home from school determined to join the men who work the lobster boats, placing herself squarely in the middle of a generations-old feud over fishing rights between the lobstermen of Fort Niles and Courne Haven, but when she spies Owney Wishnell, a silent young Courne Haven dreamboat, she begins to long for a truce.
